Experiences and attractions

AUTOSTADT

The Autostadt in Wolfsburg is the communication platform of the Volkswagen Group and by  its motto “People, cars and what moves them”, it lets the visitors experience the world of mobility. In the wold’s largest car delivery center the customers can pick up their new cars and spend an eventful day, for example by visiting the automobile exhibition in the ‘ZeitHaus’. There you can see (historical) vehicles made by over 60 different manufacturers. On top of that the visitors can peek into the future of mobility in interactive exhibitions, discover exciting experiences behind the wheel or enjoy a culinary journey in nine different restaurants. A sprawling family world makes a child’s heart beat faster and an extraordinary programme of events amazes visitors young and old.

ALLERPARK

The Allerpark is a public leisure park in Wolfsburg. Its center is the Allersee, which is an artificial lake that was finished in 1970. With 1230m in length and a width of 270m, the lake has an area of 29 hectar. Having a proven good quality of water, it is a very popular leisure destination.

The 130 hectar big park contains numerous recreational offerings, including the Volkswagen Arena, the AOK stadium, the ‘BadeLand’ water fun park, the EisArena ice rink as well as the high rope course ‘monkeyman’, a skate park, the water sports clubs and a bowling centre. Annually, roundabout three million visitors are drawn to the Allerpark by the many different attractions. In 2018, the Courtyard by Marriott Wolfsburg hotel was added to the park.

PHAENO

‘phaeno – the wold of Phenomena’ is a science center in Wolfsburg. Over 350 interactive stations let you experience science and technology with all the different senses. Through making new experiences, the visitors are motivated to unlock secrets and solve mysteries on their own. On the ground floor you can find the forum of ideas, the science theater and a restaurant. The upper floor contains the “experimental landscape”, which is the main exhibition. The phaeno is a certified extracurricular place of learning. The building was designed by Iraq-born star architect Zaha Hadid. After a construction period of four years it was opened to the public on November 24th 2005.

PLANETARIUM

Simply cosmic: A visit to Planetarium Wolfsburg is an unforgettable experience for space fans young and old. The planetarium offers, for example, fascinating star-gazing and unique educational experiences for schools and scholars. The 360° Cinema lets you experience spectacular films from unusual perspectives. And if that sounds good, you can even hold hands with your sweetheart under a starry sky. Thanks to varying film highlights and multi-layered experience programmes, a visit to the planetarium is always new and surprisingly different. The Wolfsburger ’star-theatre‘ is well known for presenting educational as well as entertaining shows about astronomy and spaceflight and thus is a popular destination for school and kindergarten classes for children of any age. Little ones will have an incredible time observing the night sky and will be shown carefully around the world of stars. By the way, we are happy to host children’s birthday parties as well as unique work events. Contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.
