Bank Account
It is recommendable to open a German bank account when you arrive in Germany. Your salary will be paid into this account and telephone bills, or other regular payments, will be deducted directly from it. Most importantly, it is a good idea to have a German account for paying your rent (sometimes you must be able to prove that you have a German account). In Wolfsburg there is a number of different banks, each offering varying conditions. It is wise to gather plenty of information in advance regarding interest rates and fees of the various banks.
